After receiving your Pet Scan product, follow these steps:

1. Scan the QR code using your phone’s camera.
2. Open the Pet Scan activation page.
3. Create or log in to your Pet Scan account.
4. Register the product to your pet.
5. Complete your pet’s profile.
6. Save your information and confirm activation.

After activation, add accurate and useful information about your pet.

Keep your information updated whenever there is a change.

Your emergency contact information is particularly important if your pet becomes lost.

Make sure:

• The phone number is active.
• The person listed knows they are an emergency contact.
• The contact information is updated whenever it changes.

The QR code should remain easy to scan. Avoid:

• Covering the QR code with stickers.
• Scratching or damaging the QR code.
• Bending or deliberately damaging the QR badge.
• Applying substances that make the QR code difficult to read.

Regularly check that your QR code can be scanned successfully.

If your pet is lost, take the following steps immediately:

1. Make sure your Pet Scan profile is active.
2. Confirm that your contact information is correct.
3. Check that the QR code on the collar or badge is readable.
4. Inform people searching for your pet that it is registered with Pet Scan.
5. Monitor your registered contact information for calls or messages from a finder.

Pet Scan can help a finder access the information you have provided, but recovery of a lost pet cannot be guaranteed.

If you find a pet wearing a Pet Scan QR code:

1. Scan the QR code using your phone camera.
2. Follow the instructions displayed on the Pet Scan page.
3. Review the available information.
4. Use the provided contact method to contact the owner or emergency contact.
5. Avoid attempting to access information that is not intended for you.

Keep your Pet Scan ID card with your pet’s important records.

The ID card may contain more detailed information about your pet than the collar QR code.

Do not share your account password or private account credentials with other people.

You should regularly review your pet profile and update:

• Phone numbers & address/contact details
• Emergency contacts
• Vaccination records & medical information
• Photographs & any other important details

Keeping your profile updated increases the usefulness of your Pet Scan product.

Never share your Pet Scan password with anyone.

If you suspect unauthorized access to your account:

• Change your password immediately.
• Review your pet’s information.
• Contact Pet Scan support if necessary.

Pet Scan must only be used for legitimate pet identification and safety purposes. Users must not:

• Attempt to access another pet owner’s account.
• Modify another person’s pet information.
• Copy or misuse another pet’s QR code.
• Attempt to bypass Pet Scan security.
• Use Pet Scan information for harassment, fraud, or other unlawful purposes.

Handle your Pet Scan collar, ID card, and QR badge with reasonable care.

Replace the product if the QR code becomes damaged or unreadable.

If your product is lost or stolen, contact Pet Scan as soon as possible so that we can advise you about deactivation or replacement options.

Pet Scan is an identification and information-access system. It does not replace:

• Proper supervision of your pet
• A secure collar or harness
• Microchipping
• Veterinary care
• Vaccination records maintained by your veterinarian
• Responsible pet ownership

For maximum protection, we recommend using Pet Scan together with permanent identification such as microchipping where available.
